Start with your why and let that lead you, make your earliest believers your founding members, and co-build for them and with them. Remember that success is on the other side of defeat. Celebrate the ups, the downs, and everything in between as you'll find it can all be a victory depending on your perspective. Betsy Fore is the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Velveteen Ventures, investing in solutions for children and the planet for the next seven generations.
She was Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Tiny Organics, a venture-backed company delivering organic, fresh, nutrient-rich baby and toddler meals. She grew the company to $13MM in revenue in the first 24 months and went on to become the first Native American woman to raise a Series A round of funding.
She is also the Co-Founder of non-profit Natives Rising, one of the largest communities of Indigenous technologists and founders.
Before Tiny, she was the Founder and CEO of Wondermento, creators of WonderWoof, the first dog wearable and app, and before that she built Mind Candy where she lead product alongside the current Co-Founder of Calm in London.
She is a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree, Entrepreneurs 100 Women of Impact honoree and Blueprint Capital Advisors Power100 Honoree in Venture Capital. Her book Built on Purpose is launching 11.11.25 with HarperCollins Business.
She is based in Chicago with her family and her three children have inspired all of her companies.
